Aripa Arte is hosting ten weekly guided conversations on the importance of Public Relations for art businesses. Participants will explore the role of PR in their art careers, and create their own individualized PR Plan.

This ten week series of discussions will cover:Why does PR Matter? – Artists will be able to define their art businesses, and describe the importance of PR in their creative careers.Being a Public Persona – Artists will discuss the importance of presenting themselves publicly and developing clear goals as part of a planned PR strategy.How Will They Know? – Artists will explore their key messaging, and differentiate between PR, Publicity, Marketing, and Advertising.Taking About Your Art – Artists will plan how to talk about their art in a variety of formal and casual situations, and whom to target with their message?Writing About Your Art – Artists will generate a variety of written presentations suitable for different audiences and formats, and explore strategies and tactics for sharing their writing?Staying Top of Mind – Artists will explore opportunities to use the news, seasons, and current trends to remain relevant and fresh with their messaging.Shout it Out – Artists will discuss the need for networking, tools, social media, budgeting, and building targeted email lists to support their PR campaigns.Finding Balance – Artists will explore ways to find a healthy work/life balance in their art businesses, how to prioritize what matters, and how to measure and evaluate success.Press Kit – Artists will gather the tools they have created into a press kit to include with their PR campaigns.PR Plan – Artists will combine all of the work they have done over the past 9 weeks into a formal plan for a PR campaign of their choosing. Artists will have the opportunity to share their plans, and discuss the process of this ten week series.
